Librarian And Gallery Manager
Minimum of OND/HND/BSc in Library Science, Fine Arts, Literature, or related fields
Previous experience in a library, gallery, or cultural center preferred
Passionate about African history, arts, and storytelling
Must be neat, presentable, and articulate
Flexible availability, including weekends and event days
Tech-savvy, able to use cataloging tools, email, and social media effectively.
Manage the organization, cataloging, and maintenance of the library collection
Curate a wide selection of African literature, history, biographies, and children’s books
Facilitate reading programs, book clubs, and quiet study time for guests and the public
Maintain a welcoming, serene, and well-structured space for all library users
Recommend books to readers and track borrowing activity
Curate and manage rotating exhibitions in collaboration with featured artists
Handle the display, care, and documentation of artworks
Organize art events, talks, and private viewings to drive footfall
Market and sell artworks to collectors, guests, and visitors
Liaise with artists and coordinate deliveries, installations, and takedowns
Drive awareness and usage of the space through social media, partnerships, and in-house promotions
Ensure excellent guest experience at all times
Keep accurate records of book and art inventory, sales, and engagement activities
Provide monthly reports on foot traffic, sales, and visitor feedback
